A dog’s reaction to the open sunroof during a car ride is priceless. This Instagram video shows a Cane Corso named Gumbo staring at the sudden attack of sunlight. According to her dog mom, the pup becomes “confused” when the sunroof slides open.
It appears she initially gets scared, then wonders what happened. Gumbo instantly looks at her mom for some answers after it opens. Meanwhile, the owner chuckles at her pet’s reaction. She believes that the dog prefers a closed roof, as the caption reads, “She said okay, now close it.”
Dog’s usual dark car ride changes when the sunroof opens
In a heart-melting dog video on Instagram, a Cane Corso named Gumbo is surprised by the open sunroof during a car ride. It seems the pup is used to dark and cozy rides. Hence, the sudden opening of the sunroof startles her. The clip begins with the fur baby sitting in the backseat of her mom’s vehicle. A pink towel with yellow flowers covers her seat.
While looking outside, a sound grabs her attention. It seems to be the sound of the sunroof sliding open. “We NEVER ride with the sunroof open. We like it dark in here. She was confused,” onscreen text reads. She first looks ahead, and then her gaze fixes on the ceiling of the car.
Furthermore, the opening of the sunroof seemingly confuses the pup. She keeps staring at it until it slides open completely. As the light pours in, Gumbo probably wonders about the science behind it. When she presumably doesn’t find an answer, the pup looks at her owner, who finds the scene funny.
Meanwhile, the dog’s reaction has left viewers in stitches, too. A user commented, “She’s like you could do that the whole time?!?!” Another quipped, “Shes like, um mum the roof is like. Not there.” Netizens also called her “beautiful,” and the post has garnered over 42K likes as of this writing.
