Foster Dog Was Once Anxious Fresh Out of Shelter, but Love Made All the Difference

When Banker first arrived at his foster home, he struggled with anxiety and nerves. He had spent his life living outside in a kennel, so the sights, sounds, and routines of a home were completely new to him. His foster parent shared a glimpse of how different he looked when they first brought him home from the shelter. Banker appeared wary and unsure, with his anxious expression showing just how difficult the transition had been for him.

But his foster family gave Banker what he needed the most. They did not rush him to settle in and instead let him adjust at his own pace. Slowly, Banker learned that he was safe and that the people around him would not hurt him. Within only a few weeks, Banker transformed from an extremely nervous dog into a cheerful, affectionate pup who loved being around people. The once-anxious dog began showing a much softer side, happily lounging around the house, playing with toys, and enjoying the comfort of his new surroundings.

A loving couple officially adopted him, and his foster parent recently handed him over to his new family. Banker now has a new name, too. His adopters named him Macklin, although they plan to call him Mack for short. The name has a special connection to hockey fans. Macklin was named after Macklin Celebrini, the young hockey star, giving the pup a fun new identity as he starts this next chapter.

Mack won’t have to adjust to being the only dog in his new family. He now has a doggy sister named Lola, who also came from the same shelter. Lola found her own home last year, and now she gets to welcome another rescue dog into the family.
