The Instagram account @hudsonbegood recently shared a video of a toddler and Golden Retriever puppy Honey Bea trying their luck at a neighborhood lemonade stand. Even though the first few customers take their time showing up, there is no dearth of cuteness in the video. The first part of the afternoon is mostly spent watching cars drive by, though neither the little boy nor Honey Bea seems ready to give up. Then a couple of neighbors finally stop, and from there everything starts looking a lot more fun for the little team behind the stand.
Golden Retriever and toddler’s lemonade stand starts slow but gains momentum soon
The video opens on an adorable setup between the family’s house and the sidewalk. A little boy sits proudly behind his blue-and-white lemonade stand while Honey Bea keeps him company from a raised stool beside him. The on-screen text calls it “the world’s cutest lemonade stand,” and Honey Bea does a pretty convincing job of proving the point just by sitting there.
Looking a little closer, there’s another sweet detail tucked onto the front of the stand. A photo of the family’s late Golden Retriever, Hudson, is displayed on the front alongside the lemonade sign, a touching nod to the dog who helped make these neighborhood stands a tradition over the years.
The only problem is that nobody stops at first. Cars pass by as the little boy cheerfully calls out, hoping someone will stop. Honey Bea stays close the whole time, patiently watching the street before wandering over to investigate the grass beneath the boy’s chair. Even as the on-screen updates admit there are still no customers, the pair keep waiting. Finally, someone pulls over.
The first customer buys a cup of lemonade, and Honey Bea earns a few well-deserved ear scratches as a bonus. Soon another neighbor stops too, and just like that, the little stand comes to life. The little boy’s grin gets bigger with every customer who walks over.
In the comments, the family shared that “Hudson started this lemonade stand and his sister is keeping it alive.” They added that things always begin slowly, but their neighbors once again showed up to make the day special. The video of the toddler and the Golden Retriever has already picked up more than 43,000 likes. Plenty of viewers commented that they’d happily stop for a lemonade if they lived nearby. A few even joked they’d come back for seconds just to see Honey Bea again.
