Blind Dog Can’t See the World Around Him, but His Face Shows Exactly What He’s Feeling

Camping has given Leo plenty to investigate, and of course, the great outdoors comes with a lot of noise. The video starts inside the tent, where Leo is lying comfortably on the floor beside his human.

Another dog is nearby, but Leo has something else occupying his attention. The text on screen reads, “POV: watching my blind dog get curious about every sound.” Then, Leo starts listening.

The Jindo mix lifts his head towards the sky as a sound catches his attention, turning his face in the direction it seems to be coming from. In another shot, his floppy ears and curious expression are front and center as he follows sounds moving around outside.

He keeps moving his head around, trying to catch the sounds coming from different parts of the campsite. Then he lowers his head almost down to the ground, checking out something happening closer to the floor.

It is such a simple thing to watch, yet Leo’s expressions make every moment feel so special. The blind dog is actively paying attention, figuring out his surroundings through the sounds reaching his ears. His human described Leo as having “the most expressive face” and wondered what he might be imagining while listening to the birds, mosquitoes, and trees moving in the breeze.

That curiosity has clearly charmed more than 26,000 people. According to an older intro post, Leo was rescued through @adoptkoreanrescue after severe eye injuries left him permanently blind. He now lives in Alaska and is learning to navigate his new life with confidence. He may not see the mountains or trees around that campsite, but Leo is finding his own way to experience them.
