Fur babies can sometimes surprise their owners by revealing just how gentle they can be around children. A recent video captured two English Staffordshire Bull Terriers named Venom and Demetra, showing a remarkably calm side around their human parents’ baby. Although the two dogs usually play rough with each other, they become incredibly gentle and composed whenever they are near the infant.
On September 7, the dogs’ owner shared the heartwarming video on Instagram through the account @alex_sofia_pack. The adorable interaction has since captured viewers’ attention, with the clip quickly gaining traction on the platform.
Two Staffies instinctively become gentle around baby, according to their owner
In an adorable video on Instagram, a dog parent revealed that their two English Staffordshire Bull Terriers, or Staffies, named Venom and Demetra, instinctively become gentle whenever they are around their baby.
The heartwarming clip has captured the attention of viewers across social media. Its caption explains, “Venom and Demetra just seemed to know on some instinctive level. The same dogs that play as rough as the Shepherds somehow switched into this incredibly gentle mode the moment they were near him. Nobody taught them that. It just happened.”
The video begins with one of the Staffies lying beside the baby on the floor. Text over the clip reads, “Correction was for one but worked perfectly on both.” As the footage continues, the baby crawls around while the dog remains remarkably calm, sitting nearby and quietly watching the little one. The baby eventually reaches out to touch the dog’s face and nose, but the Staffy remains gentle and composed throughout the interaction.
The dog’s calm demeanor and affectionate gaze toward the baby make the sweet moment even more heartwarming. It’s a touching display of the bond between a dog and a child, and one that is sure to put a smile on viewers’ faces.
