If you own a Siamese cat, chances are you adore her for her fascinating, lithe, and elegant appearance. The breed’s signature slender physique and point colour coat pattern give it a striking appearance. Siamese cats, on the other hand, have a distinct appearance at birth.

Point Colouration

Siamese cats have point colouration, which means they have one coat colour with a completely different colour on the “point” parts of the body, such as the tail, face, ears, and feet. Siamese cats are distinguished by their dark points and pale bodies.

Colour Options

Chocolate brown, lilac, blue, red, and dark seal point are just a few of the lovely coat colours available in Siamese cats. The colour of the seal point is very similar to black. The Siamese gene, which is unusually responsive to heat, is present in this mysteriously lovely breed. The cats’ coat appears darker on the cooler parts of their bodies. The fur is significantly lighter in the warmest areas. As a result, seasonal changes occur. For example, your precious kitty will most likely appear darker in December than she will in July, especially if she spends a lot of time outside.

Newborn Kittens

Siamese kittens look significantly different as newborns than they do as adults. This is due to the fact that they are born completely white. A genetic abnormality linked to albinism is responsible for this colour change. A Siamese litter stays warm in mama’s womb, which explains the lighter fur colour! Once the kittens are born, they slowly but surely start to develop colour — all part of the wonder of the Asian breed.

Time

For a few weeks after birth, a Siamese kitten will be completely white. Her true Siamese colours usually take a while to emerge.
