An Aussiedoodle is happiest with plenty of social connection and both physical and cerebral stimulation since they are the offspring of two extremely bright breeds. “You should be aware of food allergies and environmental allergies, especially if you live in the southeastern United States,” he observes. To avoid flea allergy dermatitis in any dog, but particularly in a dog with a greater risk for allergies generally, frequent flea and tick control is crucial.

History

According to the AKC’s records, poodles and Australian shepherds have a well-documented pedigree. The AKC adds that while being placed in distinct categorization divisions (herding and non-sporting, respectively), both of these European-based breeds are very intelligent and people-oriented.

The origin of the Aussiedoodle is unknown, but like many poodle hybrids, they have become more and more popular since the 1990s, perhaps because of the adorable tiny tails of:
