This dog’s reaction to having a bath is hilarious and wholesome to watch. Many dogs are intimidated by baths and immediately start looking for an escape route when it’s time for a cleaning session. Maybe they find the tub suspicious, or perhaps the sound of running water makes them want to disappear. Either way, it’s often clear that dogs don’t enjoy bath time.
However, this Labrador Retriever is built differently. He thoroughly enjoys his bath, so much so that he starts rolling around on the floor and happily embraces the entire process.
Dog embraces the water instead of trying to escape the bath
This dog has a mind-blowing reaction to bathtime: instead of trying to escape the water, he thoroughly enjoys the whole process. The video, shared by @bouldertheblacklab, features a Black Labrador named Boulder. The clip is short and simple, yet it is enough to bring a smile to anyone’s face.
It shows Boulder enjoying his bath as his owner uses a hose to shower him with water. Instead of barking, making a fuss, or making a dramatic run for freedom, the dog seems perfectly happy to embrace the entire experience. In fact, he doesn’t even try to climb out or shake off the water like many dogs do.
He doesn’t treat bath time like a punishment. Instead, for Boulder, it seems to be his own personal spa. The video shows him calmly enjoying the water and letting his confident personality shine through. After all, staying completely unbothered by the water is quite impressive for a dog who clearly knows how to enjoy himself.
While many dogs spend bath time wondering how quickly they can escape, Boulder seems to have decided that water isn’t something to fear but something to enjoy. The video beautifully captures how even ordinary routines can become special when you have a dog with such a fun personality.
